Mike Kepka
Co-founder, Director

Mike Kepka is a filmmaker and director who is as familiar with the set-life as he is with the dad-life - he loves his minivan because it could easily be used to haul video gear, all three of his kids, or a civil rights leader on any given day. As a 4x Emmy award winning filmmaker, he has 20 years of experience working as a newspaper photojournalist and pioneered “City Exposed,” a visual columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle. He has since worked on branded campaigns, political commercials, and documentaries and is an expert in video production.

Amanda Needham (aka Ace)
Co-founder, Producer

Amanda Needham is a filmmaker and creative facilitator. In addition to being a Fulbright scholar and advisor on feature length films headed to Sundance, she has worked as a waitress, a church secretary, a political organizer and a recycling truck driver - all skills that come in handy as a producer with Kepka House. Amanda met Mike while working as lead researcher for the San Francisco Chronicle’s News Video Analytics Lab, and she's an expert at creating content in a format that drives viewership and engages audiences.

We put our values first.

Kepka cares about our future as humans: fair pay, rights, the environment. And we created our company to be part of the solution.
